Myanmar goodwill delegation lays wreaths at Vietnam War Memorial, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi, visits Hanoi Old Quarters

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in- Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, who are in Hanoi of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on a goodwill visit, arrived at the Vietnam War Memorial in Hanoi at 8.15 am local standard time today. The Senior General and party were welcomed by officials, and then, the Senior General and party paid tribute to the war memorial by laying a wreath.

Next, the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation went to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, who was the national leader of Vietnam, where they were welcomed by officials. Afterwards, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party laid a wreath at the mausoleum.

This afternoon, the Senior General and party visited Hanoi Old Quarters, which is one of the great destinations for local and foreign tourists in Hanoi, where they were welcomed by officials. First, the Senior General and party visited Ngoc Son ancient temple in the Hoan Kiem Lake where officials conducted them round the temple. The temple was built on the small island in the lake. 

The statues of the Supreme Commanders of Vietnam including the statue of Tran Hung Dao in 13th Century are being kept in the temple.

Then, the Senior General and party visited the Hanoi Old Quarters and Hoan Kiem Lake in small buggies.
