Debris of crashed plane spotted

The local fishing trawler Aung Thu Kha joining the search and rescue operation in the sea together with Navy vessels at 5.18 pm today reported that while search was underway by dragging a fishing net, something was stuck in the net at a place of 260° west to and 7.5 miles (north latitude 13° 31' and east longitude 98°) from Dawei Myinkhwa Bay.

Acting on the information, the two military ships operating at the sea conducted search with a sonar system and confirmed it. Then,diver soldiers discovered a part of the crashed plane at the surface as deep as about 35 metres.

The debris is the tail of the crashed plane Y-8 bearing Flight No.5820. Then, the search went on again yesterday.
