Vice-Senior General Soe Win holds talks with Deputy Commander of the Southern Theatre Command and Chief of Joint Staff Department Lieutenant General Chen Zhaohai.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received a delegation led by Deputy Commander of the Southern Theatre Command and Chief of the Joint Staff Department Lieutenant General Chen Zhaohai of the People’s Liberation Army at Bayintnaung Parlour here yesterday morning.
Also present at the meeting together with the Vice-Senior General were senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. Lieutenant General Chen Zhaohai was accompanied by Deputy Chief of the Joint Chief of Staff Department Major General Feng Xiang and officials.
At the meeting, they discussed efforts being made to realize comprehensive strategic partner-ship relations between the two countries in addition to strengthening the existing fraternal relations as Myanmar and China have been cementing the year-long friendship relations, implementation of the discussions from the meetings between chiefs of armed forces of the two countries, cooperation in amicably and openly solving the border problems between governments and armed forces, issues on friendly cooperation in peace and stability of the border region between the governments and armed forces of the two countries based on mutual trust, respect and honest, enhancement of mutual trust, belief and friendship between two armed forces of the two countries, and special emphasis being placed on further promotion of friendly ties with armed forces of Myanmar Tatmadaw’s neighbouring countries.
After the meeting, Vice-Senior General Soe Win and Lieutenant General Chen Zhaohai, Deputy Commander and Chief of Joint Staff Department of the Southern Theater Command under the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) posed documentary photo taken together with delegation members.
