A Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice- Senior General Soe Win arrived at Incheon International Airport in the Republic of Korea (ROK) at 7.30 am local standard time yesterday. They were welcomed at the airport by Myanmar Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Thura U Thet Oo Maung, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Col Myint Thein and Brig-Gen Lee Gu John, Deputy Division Commander of No.3 Military Division of the ROK Army.

On arrival at Myanmar Military Attaché’s Office (Army, Navy and Air), Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in- Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win was welcomed by Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) to the ROK Col Myint Thein, families of Military Attaché’s office and officer trainees.

At a call with the families of Military Attaché’s Office and officer trainees, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win explained the facts about the real situations in Rakhine State, step-by-step efforts being made by Bengali terrorists to establish basic, hardcore and liberation areas, misunderstanding over Myanmar due to mentioning fake news by world media, Myanmar Tatmadaw’s efforts to defend security of national ethnic people in Rakhine State and safeguard sovereignty of the State against danger of Bengali terrorists and its background provider organizations under the existing laws and international war laws, and duty discharging of individual Tatmadawman under rules of engagement (ROE) in the military operation area allowed by the government. The Vice-Senior General urged officials of Myanmar Military Attaché’s Office (Army, Navy and Air) to the Republic of Korea and families in addition to those attending training courses in the ROK and intellectuals and intelligentsia to frequently clarify true events with evidences in order to rebut wrong information to trainees, intellectuals and intelligentsia from global countries and officials of relevant governmental departments as part of efforts to take out the national duty.

Then, the Vice-Senior General presented gifts to the Ambassador, the Myanmar Military Attaché, families of the Military Attaché’s Office and officer trainees. Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Col Myint Thein hosted a lunch to the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Vice-Senior General.

In the evening, the Vice-Senior General attended the dinner hosted by Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Army (Retired) General Jang Jun-kyu at Grand Hyatt Hotel.
