Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation who are on goodwill tour of Japan left for Tokyo by Shinkansen bullet train at 9 am local standard time today and arrived at the Tokyo railway station at 10.30 am local standard time. They were welcomed at the railway station by Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Thurein Thant Zin and officials.
Chief of Joint Staff of Japan Self-Defence Forces General Shigeru IWASAKI (Retired) hosted a luncheon to the Tatmadaw goodwill delegation at Sakura no ma hall of Hotel New Otani yesterday afternoon.
Also present at the luncheon together with the Senior General were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the Senior General’s wife, Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), senior military officers, Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Thurein Thant Zin and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army,Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Saw Min. General Shigeru IWASAKI(Retired) and wife, Chairman of Nippon Foundation Mr. Yohei SASAKAWA and officials also attended the luncheon.
First General Shigeru IWASAKI (Retired) extended greetings. The Senior General then spoke words of thanks. They enjoyed the luncheon together. After the luncheon, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife and General Shigeru IWASAKI(Retired) and wife exchanged souvenirs.
