Vice-Senior General Soe Win poses for documentary photo together with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway H.E. Mr.Borge Brende and delegation members

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway H.E. Mr. Borge Brende at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, at 1 pm yesterday.
Also present at the call were Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs was accompanied by Ambassador of Norway to Myanmar H.E. Mrs. Tone Tinnes and officials.
At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on progress of peace processes prioritized by not only the government but also the Tatmadaw for peace and stability, and development which are main challenges of Myanmar and for eternal peace the Tatmadaw faces main challenge, endeavours of the government, the Hluttaw, the Tatmadaw and ethnic armed organizations to solve the armed conflicts through political ways at political dialogue of the Union Peace Conferences, cooperation of Norway with Myanmar in peace processes and clearance of landmines, importance of the senses that anyone should not demand their wish in democracy by holding arms, situations of main hindrances to implementing the peace processes caused by the aid directly given by some foreign donor countries and NGOs and INGOs to armed ethnic organizations, conspiracy for Rohingya which does not include on the list of Myanmar ethnics in the issue of Rakhine State located in the western part of the nation, and needs of Bengalis in that region to accept citizenship scrutiny under the law.
After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General presented the gift to the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs and posed for documentary photo together with the delegation members.
