Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met President of the Republic of the Philippines H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Rao Duterte, who is paying a goodwill visit to Myanmar, at the High Tea reception at Villa-1 of State Meeting Room-1 at Horizon Lake View Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
Also present at the call were Deputy Commanderin- Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander- in-Chief (Army). The Philippine President was accompanied by Secretary of National Defence H.E. Mr. Delfin Lorenzana, Philippine Ambassador H.E. Mr. Alex Chua and officials.
At the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on cooperation in defence, security measures and eradication of narcotic drugs between the two countries.
After the meeting, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Philippine President H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Rao Duterte posed for documentary photo together with those present.
