At the invitation of General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, and wife, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife and Tatmadaw goodwill delegation left Yangon International Airport this evening for India to attend the BIMSTEC Army Chief’s Conclave to be held in Pune, India, and for an official goodwill tour of the country.
The goodwill delegation led by Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife was seen off at the airport by Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Thet Pon and senior military officers, Deputy Chief of Mission Dr. Sumit Seth of the Embassy of India to Myanmar, Defence Attaché Colonel Naveen Mahajan and officials.
Together with Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) left on the same flight as members of the delegation.
