Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation visits National Defence Academy in Pune, Armoured Corps Centre & School in Ahmadnagar

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, who are currently in the Republic of India on an official goodwill visit, left the hotel where they are staying at 8.10 am local standard time on 17 September and arrived at the National Defence Academy-NDA at 9 am. They were welcomed there by NDA Commandant Air Marshal IP Vipin and wife and officials. 

The Tatmadaw delegation heard a briefing by officials on training affairs of NDA and viewed round in the academy. Next, they held discussions at the Commandant’s Office of NDA, signed the visitors’ book and exchanged gifts. 

Then, the delegation left the helipad in the compound of NDA by helicopter for Ahmadnagar at 11 am and arrived at Armoured Corps Centre & School-ACC&S at 11.45 am. They were welcomed there by Commandant Major General Neeraj Kapur and wife and officials. Officials gave an account of training affairs and the delegation viewed round the lecture halls where subject-wise course instructors explained academic subjects. The delegation then studied the tank museum and the armour museum at the Cavalry Office Mess. They signed the visitors’ books of those facilities. At the 
Cavalry Office Mess, the commandant and wife hosted luncheon to the delegation and they exchanged commemorative emblems and gifts. 

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation left Armoured Corps Centre & School-ACC&S in Ahmadnagar at 3.45 pm local standard time for the air base in Pune. At 5 pm local standard time, the delegation left there by special flight and arrived at Palam Technical Area of the Indian Air Force in New Delhi at 7 pm local standard time. At the airport, Joint Director General of the Directorate General of Military Intelligence-DGMI Major General Ajey Seth, VSM and wife, Myanmar Ambassador to India U Moe Kyaw Aung and officials welcomed the delegation. Then, the delegation arrived 
at ITC MAURYA Hotel.
