Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds talks with Chief Executive Offifi cer of The Carter Center Retired Ambassador Mrs. Mary Ann Peters.

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Chief Executive Officer of The Carter Center Retired Ambassador Mrs. Mary Ann Peters at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning.

Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Chief Executive Officer of The Carter Center was accompanied by Director Mr. Jonathan Stonestreet and members.

At the call, they frankly exchanged views on needs of restoring eternal peace in walking along the route of multi-party democracy in Myanmar, endeavours of the government and the Tatmadaw for restoring internal peace, and situation for assistance to be given by The Carter Center. After the meeting, the Senior General presented a commemorative gift to the Chief Executive Officer of The Carter Center.
