The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Narita Airport in Tokyo this noon after paying a working goodwill visit to Japan at the invitation of Chairman of the Nippon Foundation Mr. Yohei SASAKAWA.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Senior General was seen off at the airport by Mr. Yuji MORI, Executive Director of the Nippon Foundation and officials, Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Thurein Thant Zin and wife, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air)Brig-Gen Saw Min and wife,staff and families of Myanmar embassy and military attaché’s office.
Afterwards, the Senior General and party arrived back at Yangon International Airport this evening.They were welcomed back at the airport by Yangon Command Commander Brig-Gen Thet Pon and senior military officers, Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E Mr. Tateshi Higuchi, Military Attaché Col. Kei TAJIKA and officials.
Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Lt-Gen Hsan Oo and Lt-Gen Nyo Saw of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief(Army) and military officers who accompanied the Senior General also arrived back on the same flight.
During the working goodwill visit, the Senior General held meetings with Prime Minister of Japan H.E. Mr. Shinzo ABE and Joint Chief of Staff of the Self-Defense Force of Japan Admiral Katsutoshi KAWANO to talk about promotion of cooperation between the two countries and two armed forces, visited smallscale industry noodle factory and Daihatsu motor plant, and discussed mutual cooperation issues between the two countries with Chairman of Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association Mr. Hideo WATANABE and Chairman of Nippon Foundation Mr. Yohei SASAKAWA.
