The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing,currently on a visit to India, visited the Naval Training School in Visakhapatnam yesterday morning. They were welcomed there by Commanding Officer Captain Mukyl Surange and officials.
Speaking to the officers and other ranks from Myanmar’s Tatmadaw(Navy) attending the training school, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said the Myanmar Tatmadaw is sending human resources to attend local and foreign training courses in order to build up the capacity of the Tatmadaw (Navy) and modernize the Navy of the Tatmadaw. They therefore need to train hard and effectively as such courses have to invest in time,work and money. They must study hard by paying close attention to what the instructors concerned teach. They must respect the school disciplines and rules as well as the regional cultures and traditions. He then urged the trainees to watch their way of living and behaviours such as healthy eating and living depending on climatic conditions and dress code so as to maintain the dignity of their Tatmadaw and country. Afterwards,the Senior General presented gifts and cash awards to the trainees.
At the meeting hall of the training school, Commander S Gantayat explained organizational setup of the school headquarters, and training sessions of relevant departments.The Senior General and party raised questions they wanted to know. Then, the Senior General asked about training situation of the trainees from Myanmar Tatmadaw and discussed providing for training including basic knowledge to them to have capability for applying their actual skills in practical fields.
Next, the Senior General and party visited the training school where they were conducted round by officials. The commandant of the training school presented the emblem to the Senior General who returned gifts. Afterwards,they posed for documentary photo.
At 1 pm local standard time,the Senior General and party left Visakhapatnam by the special aircraft of Indian Armed Forces.They were seen off at the airport by Rear Admiral Decpak Kepoor and wife of Eastern Naval Command Headquarters and officials.At 4.30 pm local standard time,the Senior General and party arrived in New Delhi where they were welcomed by Myanmar Ambassador to India U Maung Wai and wife, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig from Foreign Relations and Cooperation Department of the Indian Navy of Indian Armed Forces and officials.
