Families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) honour MMA’s One Championship Middle Weight Belt winner Aung La N Sang


Aung La N Sang gives boxing gloves as commemorative gift to the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services through the commander.

Myanmar national Kachin ethnic Aung La N Sang won over defending world champion Russian Vitaly Bigdash in the five-round in One Championship Middle Weight Belt under the title of LIGHT OF A NATION MMA held at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium of Yangon on the night of 30 June, 2017.

The Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and officers, other ranks and families of the Tatmadaw(Army, Navy and Air) heartily honoured Aung La N Sang for his excellent performance in deservedly securing the One Championship Middle Weight Belt by showing nationalistic spirit in bravely fighting against his opponent with Myanmar’s spirit, diligence, courage and full power. In this regard, Commander of Yangon Command Brig-Gen Thet Pon presented a certificate of honour and cash award Ks-10 million awarded by the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services to Champion Aung La N Sang at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel in Yangon at 12 noon yesterday.

On the occasion, the commander said he took pride of Aung La N Sang’s vigorous efforts to bring prestige to the State in winning the One Championship Middle Weight Belt of MMA. The commander conveyed the compliment of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services to him for soonest recovering his injuries which suffered in the fight. Then, the commander presented a certificate of honour sent by the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Ks-10 million awarded by families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) to One Championship Middle Weight Belt winner of MMA Aung La N Sang.

Next, Aung La N Sang expressed special thanks to the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and officers, other ranks and all families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) for their congratulating him with the certificate of honour and cash award. He kept a promise to double his strenuous efforts and to maintain the One Championship Middle Weight Belt. Then, the Champion presented boxing gloves as commemorative gift to the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services through the commander.
