During the period, Myanmar initiated its way of multi-party democracy facing many difficulties and overcoming a lot of challenges. In the second term of the government, the country is on the way of system with stability to some extent. The better relationship between Myanmar and Thai armed forces after 2011 has been contributing a great deal towards friendly ties and cooperation between the two countries.

Afterwards, the Senior General explained that with regard to the role of the Tatmadaw, every Tatmadaw has responsibility for defending the State and the people. At present, the Tatmadaw, in its tasks, firmly accepts a concept that the Tatmadaw is an organization to defend the State in line with the democratic processes, not one of holding the power. The Tatmadaw cooperates with the elected governments in order to achieve success in political stability of the nation as well as ending the armed conflicts.
In holding discussions on Rakhine State issue, the Senior General said that everybody needs to know genuine situation of Rakhine State. Tasks on ensuring peace and stability, and rule of law are being carried out in line with the law sincerely, without willing to cause loss to anyone. Myanmar does not neglect the work procedures of the United Nations and is carrying out the suitable tasks under the law of the nation. Although the Buddhists are the majority of the nation, the government allows other faiths independently. It should not make the religion as a stepping stone to the politics. So, the region is under control not to cause such situation.
