The Tatmadaw is Armed Forces with fine tradition and this tradition must be maintained. Discipline and obedience are two most valuable virtues of armed forces. Being a good follower makes you a better leader, and you must enhance your qualification, noted Commanderin- Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing during his meeting with officers, officer instructors and officer trainees of Pyin Oo Lwin station at Convocation Hall of Defence Services Academy this morning.
Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander- in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint, senior military officials of the office of the Comman-derin- Chief army), Commander of Central Command Maj-Gen Soe Htut, senior officers, officer instructors and officer trainees of Pyin Oo Lwin station totaling 1985 were present.
The Senior General said the Tatmadaw is training its members to have higher military technology and better ideas and thinking power for national defence duty which is its main task. Good knowledge gained from reading is helpful in steering their job and management ability. Every country relies on the armed forces that can win the war. So, every member must work hard for the Tatmadaw to win public reliance.
Only through better trainings the military schools can produce qualified officers capable of effectively commanding their troops. The courses are fostering trainees till they can serve duties well in the higher ranks. Officers should appropriately apply their military science, knowledge and technology in the practical field. As junior officers are young things they should give leadership to a certain degree. They must also control themselves with wisdom.
Currently, the Tatmadaw is striving with dedication for ensuring a correct march on the road to multiparty democracy. There must be stability and unity to do so. Only then the nation will gain development. The Tatmadaw is striving to sign peace treaty with ethnic armed groups which have already agreed on national stability. Officials should have in mind the development of the country beginning from their respective regions.
The Tatmadaw members have already taken the oath to sacrifice even their lives for the country. So they must serve the interest of the country and the people with highest qualifications. As they have already carried out relief undertakings in flooded areas, they must continue taking part in the rehabilitation task with might and main.
After the meeting, the Senior General and party looked into the requirements of stand erection and gymnasium construction at football ground of Aungzeya battalion.
At the Tatmadaw garment factory (Pyin Oo Lwin) in the afternoon, they inspected progress in machine installation. The Senior General stressed manufacturing of quality garments and looked into the requirements.
