Vice-Senior General Soe Win receives US Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Scot Marciel.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received US Ambassador to Myanmar H.E.Mr. Scot Marciel at the Bayintnaung Parlour yesterday morning.

Also present at the meeting were Judge Advocate General Aung Lin Dwe, and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and the US Ambassador was accompanied

by Military Attaché Col. Craig Tippins and officials.

The two discussed developments that followed the third session of the Union Peace Conference-21st Century Panglong, and potential for follow-up meetings, matters related to the peace process, Tatmadaw’s policies on the peace process and the issue of Rakhine State.

The Vice-Senior General and the ambassador posed for documentary photo after the meeting.
