Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds talks with Senator Mr. Daniel Sullivan of US Congress.

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Senator Mr. Daniel Sullivan who is member of the Armed Services Committee of the US Congress at Bayintnaung Parlour, here, at 4 pm yesterday.
They exchanged views on participation of the Tatmadaw in political reform process from 1988 to till today, cooperation and contribution of the Tatmadaw to the government in the first and second terms of the multi-party system, continuous participation of the Tatmadaw in the national politics, efforts for peace processes and ending the ethnic armed confl icts, more appointment of female military personnel in the Myanmar Tatmadaw, and promotion of bilateral relations and cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries in the framework.
Present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and senior military officers of the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). Senator Mr. Daniel Sullivan was accompanied by Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee Mr. Cory Gardner, member of Armed Services Committee Ms. Joni Ernst and officials, US Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Scot Marciel and Military Attaché Colonel James McAden.
After the meeting, memorial gifts were given and documentary photo was taken. (100)
