Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives NLD chairperson

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior Aung Hlaing held talks with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the chairperson of National League for Democracy, at Bayintnaung villa here from 2 pm to 4 pm yesterday.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe, Lt-Gen Mya Tun Oo and Lt-Gen Ye Aung from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The NLD’s chairperson was accompanied by U Win Htein, U Win Myint, U Zaw Myint Maung and Dr Tin Myo Win.

At the call, both sides cordially exchanged views on transition and peace and stability in the postelection period, the parliamentary affairs, the formation of the new government and the continued efforts to reach an eternal peace after signing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA).
