Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Armoured Corps Centre & School in Ahmednagar

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who are on a goodwill visit in India at the invitation of Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee Admiral Sunil Lanba, left from the military airport in Ahmedabad at 9 am local standard time by military flight, seen off by commander Maj.Gen. ANIL PURI of No. 11 Brigade and wife and officials.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation arrived at Purnea Airport at 10.30 am local standard time, welcomed by Air Commodore Surendran Singh, commander of Purnea Airbase, and his wife and officials. There he met, spoke words of encouragement, and presented foodstuffs to Myanmar postgraduate students and military trainees. Then, the delegation proceeded by helicopter of Indian armed forces to Ahmednagar where they arrived at 11.30 am local standard time and welcomed by Commandant of Armoured Corps Centre & School Maj.Gen. Neeraj Kapur, and officials. The commandant explained the background, structure and training of the school at the school meeting hall. The Senior General praised the school as a valuable training center for the Indian Armed Forces to enhance its combat capability, saying that armoured troops play the same important role in ground strikes for victory as the role electronic and air capability plays in modern warfare. Then, he inquired more about the school for his knowledge.

Next, the Senior General and party viewed Armament Wing, Automotive Wing and School of Armoured Warfare and were conducted round there by officials. Next, the commandant of the school hosted a luncheon to the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation. The Senior General and delegation members had the lunch together with officers of the school.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing signed the visitors book and presented gifts and cash awards to the School Military Band.

The Senior General and delegation members left by Indian military aircraft at 4 pm local standard time and arrived at Purnea Airport at 5 pm local standard time. They then proceeded by Indian military special aircraft and arrived at INS Dega naval air station in Visakhapatnam at 7.15 pm local standard time.
