The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, currently in India to pay a goodwill visit, was hosted a dinner in its honour by Commander of Indian Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral HCS Bisht at his residence on 12 July evening.
First, the Commander and offi cials welcomed the Senior General and wife. Then,the Commander and wife presented gifts to the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation.The Senior General and wife gave gifts to the Commander and wife. Afterwards, they had the dinner. Before and during the dinner,the band of the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters played the songs of both countries. After the dinner, the Senior General and wife presented cash award to the band.
At 9.30 am local standard time, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General,together with delegation members, visited the Navy Wives Welfare Association-NWWA at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters where the chair of the association and members welcomed them. Then, the secretary of the association committee explained duty and functions of the association and hosted a tea party to the Myanmar delegation.
Afterwards, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party visited the nursery for the children with disabilities being operated by the NWWA Committee. Next, they visited the day care school, vocational training centre for women of the families and shopping centre for welfare of the families.
